WhatBreedIsMyCat works by processing a clear, well-lit photo of a cat's face that a user uploads. After scanning the image, it identifies possible breeds based on the cat's physical features and compares them with known breed patterns. It then presents the user with three potential breed matches along with a match percentage, common traits, and care tips for each proposed breed.

WhatBreedIsMyCat uses a trained AI model to identify cat breeds. The model processes the image and compares the cat's physical features with thousands of examples of purebred cats from trusted sources like The International Cat Association (TICA). These features include the cat's face shape, ear size, coat type, and more.

Though WhatBreedIsMyCat is a powerful tool, it does have its limitations. As it relies purely on visual data from individual photos, it can't provide comprehensive genetic or health background information. For a 100% certainty on breed identification, a DNA test is still recommended. Therefore, WhatBreedIsMyCat should be considered a highly educated guess rather than absolute fact.

With WhatBreedIsMyCat, users get best results with clear, well-lit photos of their cat's face. The image should ideally be front-facing and focused. Blurry faces, heavy shadows, or other pets in the frame may affect the accuracy of the breed identification. The supported formats for uploads are JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WEBP, with a maximum size of 10MB.

WhatBreedIsMyCat respects data privacy and handles the user's information with care. After the AI completes the analysis, the application deletes the user's photo. Therefore, it does not keep any images post-analysis.
